The Niederfinow Boat Lift - the largest boat lift in Europe - in the Finow Canal area. An impressive engineering structure and monument on the edge of the Schorfheide-Chorin Biosphere Reserve. Every year, more than 150,000 visitors come to see this remarkable structure, which proves its functionality every day. The boat lift travels a height difference of 36 m in the course of the Oder-Havel Canal. Admission to the visitors’ area at the Niederfinow boat lift is possible every weekday for a fee. Tickets are available at the information centre. Tickets (€3 normal, €2 per person) can be bought at the information centre or at the two vending machines in front of it.
