The medieval church at Krześnica was located to the east of the cemetery. It was demolished and a new temple was built on its site from erratic boulders in 1890-92, which existed until 1945. During the warfare the temple was partly destroyed. The tower and roofing were damaged. Although the damage was not very serious, the church was not rebuilt. The function of the church began to be fulfilled by the cemetery chapel. On 15 June 1947, the chapel became known as the Church of Our Lady Queen of Poland. Masses are still held in the chapel, which was once again renovated in 2003 thanks to the generosity of local people.
