Archaeological work has been underway on the site of the former Commandery at St Stanislaus Kostka Church in Chwarszczany. The 13th-century Templar chapel fires the imagination of historians looking for traces of the medieval order's presence. The Templars are the knightly order that perhaps fires the imagination of history buffs the most. In the search for answers to the questions that plague archaeologists, they have embarked on yet another excavation. The site was not chosen at random. In the past, coins, graves or fragments of vessels have been unearthed in the village. The scientists' current findings are very promising.
