The Romanesque church dates back to the 13th century; the Romanesque windows and nave have been preserved. It was rebuilt and extended in later centuries. A tower was added at the very end of the 15th century. The unique tower then had the additional rarity of a north-south passage. A bricked-up trace of this passage can still be seen today.
