The Choszczno Forest Inspectorate is located in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship and is one of the forest inspectorates forming part of the Regional Directorate of State Forests in Szczecin. Its history dates back to the 18th century, when forestry started to be organised in this area. During the period of partitions and later after Poland regained its independence, forest management in this region went through various administrative changes. After World War II, as a result of boundary changes, the forest inspectorate was incorporated into the structures of the State Forests, and its activities focused on the protection and rational use of forests. Today, the Choszczno Forest Inspectorate conducts sustainable forest management, taking care to preserve biodiversity and supporting environmental education.
