Railway trail

The yellow hiking trail, 21 km long, is most appropriately called the “Railway Trail”. It runs from Dębno northwards, visiting towns with railway stations. More often than not, the building complexes have survived but no longer fulfil the function for which they were built. It starts in Dębno, opposite the historic railway station, which is now closed. In addition to Dębno, there are: Barnówko (demolished), Dyszno (the trail bypasses it), Różańsko. The trail ends at the former railway station of Rościn Krajeński. Halfway between the stations of Dyszno and Różańsko, a commemorative stone obelisk 2 m high has been preserved, with the date the railway line was opened on 30 August 1882. Today, locomotives pull oil tankers from Barnówek south to Kostrzyn and further on to the refinery.
