The Gothic church in Chwarszczany is the remains of a Templar commandery. It was built around 1280 on the site of a former Romanesque chapel. Attention should be paid to the Gothic architecture of the building, and to the 15th-century frescoes found inside, depicting the figures of the Apostles, St. Christopher with Christ and the Holy Virgins.
